My gilfriend just broke up with me. 5 days ago. She said through text and phone conversation that she was done . I asked for my stuff back that was left in her car.She took like 2 daus just to give it back. When we met up to exchange items. She gave me mine and disnt want her stuff back. After i realized that i was wrong for pushing her to say shes done i apologize with voicemail, email, and text. I only acted like an ass to her in the beginning thatpushed her to this point was because when i was upset at somthing she did i felt as if she ignored it as she didnt care to want to know why i was even upset. So i light weight metally abused her by talking shit and sending her shitty fowl mouth text messages. I only disnt it cause when i tries to express my feeling beofr the whole blow up ,sje kelt ignoring the facr that i was uoset about somthing.by ignoring text, call, and i was just building up more anger to be provoke into a shit head. Do stjff that was going to get her attentuon but was hurting her emotionally, mentally inside. She didnt want her stuff back and has continhed to ignore m. Completley as if i dont exists. I feel she never want to own up when shes wrong but she always expect me to right away. Or else. We were together for 8 months and she has to kids 7 and 9 . i feel like why throw 8 months down the drain like that. Atleas give a consideration that i was a faithful dude down to be in it for the long hall . We even talked about having more kid and getting married at some point. I mis her and never wantes it to be a permanent break up. I know if i pull at her more while she still mad and bitter shes just going to pul away more. On top of that ahe has the type of girlfriends who like bashing dudes cause thwy dont have one or not satisfied qjth the ones they have. She would always tell her friends about me and how much she loved me and even tod them all about our sexual life. Her mom and dad like me iv been around her family and every one of her family functions. Now im wondering damn is she really done. Or is she just so pissed off tell she hates me right now. Should i just totally forget she exist and wait until she comes around or should i fight for more. When she gave me back my stuff she got in her car but disnt leave right away its ike she waiting for 10 sec . I ignored it and got into my car and left cause my ego came into play juat as hers was when she said she was done for good. Help me.understand this.
Whatever you do may cause a suspicious reaction. Don’t get angry or upset. In fact, if you expect a bad reaction, you’ll be better prepared to handle it. You may even find it humorous that you predicted a bad reaction. But don’t be derisive if you mention that. Soothe your spouse’s suspicion or bad reaction with kind words and honesty. Just say that you are trying to improve your relationship with him/her. You may want to avoid using the word “change.” Some people might take it as an attack on their character.
That’s really the main aim in Step 8 here – ensure that you don’t make mistakes which would accidentally sabotage the natural getting-back-together process. There’s several common mistakes most guys make at this exact point, and it’s super important that you know WHAT those mistakes are so that you don’t fall victim to them like most do. If you’re not told what these mistakes are, I honestly believe that you WOULD fall victim to them, so let’s discuss them right now.
Getting dumped sucks and when your boyfriend decides he doesn’t want you anymore it just tears you apart from the inside out. I feel for you but don’t worry because we are going to take a look at your breakup and figure out the best way to approach things. Again, I want to reiterate this point- don’t assume that the reason your ex boyfriend gave you for why he chose to break up is really why he decided to let you go. This may sound a bit mean, but you are going to have to be completely honest with yourself and possibly look at things that may make you uncomfortable.
This is a great article. Thank you. It made me feel a lot better. I broke up with my boyfriend 3 months ago, we have been together 2 years and we had lovely time, we were so nice to each other and he was really loves me ,respect me so much also we were planning to get marry, but the think is he didnt have job and house beacuse he used live hotel and he was waiting house and he didnt get and he still waiting, than one day we had lunch together and good time than he said ido not want relastionship any more which he taxt me and i asked him why and he said need to be single, and he said i am not leaving beacuse anather girl i just want be single that is all i want he said. i let him go, but we atill friend and contact each other. i still love him so much beacuse it is hard to forget someome who loves you give so my much respect while we were together,
It motivated me to search for a job even more, to subscribe to a sport to meet new people and make friends, to give him the freedom and the life he was asking for. A few days after, we went to a party and i gave him his space, made friend with other girls, I was doing great but he started talking with his former booty call right in front of me, which of course, made me feel so bad and jealous. So I ignored him the rest of the night. But I apologised the day after and it was ok.
You have to make sure your ex boyfriend to start contact with you – but keep a balance. It is important to don’t avoid or ignore your ex boyfriend as these are ill feelings. Always try to look cheerful as you came out of breakup and enjoying your life. Allow your ex boyfriend to leave the conversation and let him do most of the work while conversing with you. Think about living with a female roommate.
A week ago my boyfriend of 7 years told me that he wasn’t in love with me anymore. That he still cared and loved me but that he wasn’t happy and the spark was gone. He was my whole world, this has been the hardest thing I have ever done. The problem is that we have to still share an apartment together for another month until I can get my own. I have been trying to stay busy and thinking positive thoughts. But it’s hard when you still have to see him.
Plus, it gives you the time to get past the initial unbearable phase of missing him and into a more even-tempered, secure mentality. Instead of trying to figure out signs your ex still loves you, you’ll be working on yourself and getting yourself into a better mindset. It gives you the space to say, “I don’t need him to be happy – I can be happy all on my own”.
My ex broke up with me saying that he just lost himself in the relationship. For the first eight months that we knew each other, I was not ready to dated to a very bad relationship before him, so he continued to pursue me and try to prove that he was different. He was the perfect boyfriend for the almost three years that we were together, and he was also the one who really wanted a commitment and future. We had our entire lives together planned out from the wedding to traveling to kids. We ended up spending all of our time together and not doing anything else with anybody else. Needless to say we smothered each other to the point where we were arguing over stupid things. We had classes together for another month after our breakup which was very hard for me. Initially he was very nice to me and would be willing to talk with me about the breakup any time I was upset. He told me that he just didn’t want to be in a relationship for maybe years to come because he really needed to focus on finding himself. By the end of our relationship, I think we had both lost ourselves, and I do feel like the breakup was necessary in order for us both to get our own identities back. He was very depressed at the end of our relationship, and it was during that last month that things started to fall apart. He started seeing a therapist as well. However, after a few weeks he jumped into something with somebody else (His status still said single) and changed his Facebook profile picture to a picture of the two of them together. He started being very mean to me over text and made it clear that he was very happy. People are saying that he wants a reaction out of me. So, I stopped contacting him. It’s been maybe two weeks, but I blocked him on social media because it was too hard for me to see those things and I didn’t want to make myself crazy. His whole family are still friends with me on Facebook. Everybody seems to think he will be back eventually, but that I need to focus on myself in the meantime. I was wondering if you think blocking him would ruin our chances of getting back together. I’m also afraid that he will be afraid to give things another chance because he’ll be afraid we will fall into old habits. I want him to see that I’m making positive changes and learning from this, but I don’t know how. I’m afraid that by avoiding his problems things are only getting worse for him. I need advice please!!!
My best friend of 3 years and partner of 2 broke up with me 6 months ago now. I love him with all my heart and had grown to see him in my future (house, his cat, maybe kids, the whole shebang) so I was absolutely devastated when he told me. We’d had problems before but it seemed like had figured them out. We hardly ever fought and when we did we found a solution pretty quickly.
I love the no contact rule blog post!! And it really showed me some insights, thanks so much for that. Two weeks ago I broke up. I have to deal with the fact that he’s biking through my street to work every morning and evening. One time he was biking by and we saw each other and he waved, well i just crashed.. the other day we bumped into each other. This doesn’t really help me in my process to be honoust. Can I text him and ask if he could take another way to work maybe or what should I do about this?
By reaching out too soon, you risk falling into a post-relationship relationship. Meaning you talk on occasion and you hang out from time to time, but your relationship is totally undefined and the needle doesn’t seem to be moving in one direction or the other. That’s because you’re both lacking clarity and that’s because you need a period of no contact to get your minds straight. If you don’t take this time, everything will remain cloudy and confusing.
Relationships often end in a whirlwind of doubt and bitter accusation. You probably said a few things you didn't mean, and she fought back. Now that you've had a little bit of time to think about what's been lost, you know you want her back. If you put your heart and mind to it, you might be able to win her over all over again. Fixing whatever went wrong in the first place can be all it takes to prove that you've changed.
Then and there, don't analyze, argue or talk about negative stuff. Turn the page. Keep walking in a new direction. It's your ex-boyfriend that will become your new girlfriend, it's you – his ex-girlfriend, that will become a new girlfriend. Give each other a clean slate. When you leave the place, don't kiss. Give him a deep gaze, let your eyes, not your mouth say: I love you.
We ran into each other randomly about five years later. I was stunned to see him (he was in my house of all places, someone brought him to a party there and he had no idea he’d be seeing me!). I could barely speak I was so nervous. We chatted for a bit, then he messaged me on Facebook a few days later and we talked for hours and hours, I was positive that this was the beginning of round two for us, but then he went dark again. A few more years went by and we ran into each other again. Once again I had soaring high hopes… and then was crushed again when nothing came of it (I found out later he had a girlfriend at the time).
my boyfriend nd I were deeply in love till I met some girls who liked to go out…smoke nd drink a lot ..I spent most of my time with them than my boyfriend…everything changed after that until I met one guy from the party then dated him..I loved him so much because he was good !!..but he didn’t love me because we broke up nd I now regret why I chose him over my previous boyfriend…I want my boyfriend back..what can I do now
My wife of 7 yrs left 5 months ago we use to hang out and still do things together for are kids but she recently told me she is moving on a week later she tells me she in a relationship already apparently she been already seeing someone for 3 mths now I was crush because we have two kids together I admit in the beginning Are relationship started off bad u didn’t see when she was ready to settle down I wasn’t it seems to now she has more argue towards me the love please help me I don’t want to lose my family to someone else
If you’re noticing that your ex is losing interest in you or talking with you, getting on with their own life, moving on and moving past your former relationship, avoiding your calls, are always busy instead of wanting to talk or never seem to be around when you’re calling, you may be a little uncomfortable. These signs don’t necessarily mean that her decision to leave you is set in stone. There are some techniques that go outside the box that can work in even the most hopeless of circumstances. You just need to change the way she sees you and get her mindset to change. It’s not as hard as it sounds.
So a perceived ability to attract other women is a GOOD thing when it comes to how to get your ex-girlfriend back, because it boosts your mate value in your ex’s mind. The key word there is “perceived”. Perceived ability to attract other women. You don’t have to actually be able to attract lots of new women, you just have to get your ex THINKING that you could.
God please help me, i am asking you to please help me save my relationship.my best friend and i had a fallout and are not on good terms. I truly want this relationship to work out. I love spending time with him and we have so much fun together. Things were going so well n then we had a fight today. God please help me help him see that im a good girl and that wr can be happy together. God please i need him in my life. Please help him to see me for the good and forgive me for our past issues. I am so heart broken right now. Gos please save us. Please give me the opportunity to talk this out with him and make everything okay. Please god. Dont let him give up on me
but him? he dated a lot of girls most were varsity players of volleyball from different universities. then comes this girl. a sta player of the leading team from one of the most popular and exclusive school for rich people. that girl adored my ex bf and i know my ex reciproacates her feelings. she is so popular rich and i honestly say that she is cute too. but i am not having insecurities from that girl. i know im not ugly and it is just being rich and popular is not in the cards for me. my problem is my ex told me that he loves us both. and cant make up her mind who to choose. he still controls me. he replied and answers call from my guy friends and admirers. but i told him i dont have any plans of replacing him. by the way we still live together. but he is seeing that other girl from time to time. he even has the nerve to tell all the deails of their dates. i dont know if he is just trying to make me jealous or he is just being a complete jerk. the other day he told me that he is choosing me over that girl but yesterday he was with a date with her. i love him so much and weve been together for two years. what should i do? sigh
This will immediately trigger the same reactions in your ex-girlfriend that accepting the breakup from the beginning would have had. She’ll want to know exactly what triggered your change of heart and whether or not you’re getting on with your life. Your ex is counting on the chase, even if she’s not ready to restart a relationship with you. You’re reversing roles and making her want to chase you instead.
Thank you for this article. My bf and I got back together after a year apart. I broke up with him because I did not feel he was going to take it to the next step. Engagement. He tried to reach out to me during that time. But I never picked up. He called ,e out of the blue and for some reason I picked up. He said he was still in love with me and he had moved and wanted me to come and visit. Came to me as a surprise because I am pretty sure he has been dating. I never stopped loving him and it made it hard for me to even start a new relationship. So about a month ago I called him and told him I would visit. It was great. We laughed, joked talked about what we did wrong before and how we would change it. He told me we should take things slowly one day at a time. I agreed. But my emotions are running so fast and I think I was “over expressing” myself. Anyway he said it seems like I am getting ahead of myself again and he really wants to take things slowly. It made me feel bad until I read your article. I will follow the steps. We have gotten past a few of them. I really don’t want to mess things up. We both love each other like crazy and we have such good chemistry. He tells me everything like he has always done and I do the same. I think I will build on that. I also talked about the past yesterday and he did not like that because we’d already discussed it and he said he had put it behind him and did not want to be reminded of it. Thank you for this.
My fears came true last night when my boyfriend of 8 months broke up with me. I am 23, he is 26. We have both been in very serious previous relationships and when we finally met, it was a soul connection other than purely physical or anything of that sort. I was with my high school sweetheart for 6 years… He had been separated from his wife for two years and a half years(they were married at 21), and has just recently signed the final divorce papers.
When a couple has been very close for a long time, the rupture of that relationship is painful. Letting go is not easy and is usually regarded as regrettable. “I invested ten years of my life in that person,” someone may say. It is as if there should be some return on all those years, some tangible remainder of all that effort. It is as if the end of the relationship invalidated everything that went before. It is usual, therefore, and natural, to want to hold on—to recover what has been lost. To fall back in love, if that is possible.
My ex and I broke up a few weeks ago because he started hanging out with new friends that I never liked because they are all bad boys. After 2 years and 6 months in the relationship he suddenly changed his mind about us. He started texting other girls which he said was his friends he even had pictures of them on his phone. I didn’t like that at all because I saw that these girls are starting to like him. So basically it was my fault he broke up with me for being insecure, clingy and not trusting him. He told me he doesn’t want to be in a serious relationship right now but he still loves me. He wants to explore life without a girlfriend and not wanting to hurt me when he meet up with new girls and such. I really do love him with all my heart, and maybe he just needs some space to think, or maybe our relationship got a bit boring. I am so willing to follow these steps to get him back, I’m so not going to lose him to a bunch of girls!
