To think you can “make” someone want to be with you is illusory and will only lead to suffering and disappointment. The most important tip here is to be fully in the moment and truly OK with whatever the outcome is.  Let me reiterate that. Being OK no matter the outcome is the single most beneficial advice I can offer. Fixating on your ex, secretly wishing that he comes back to you, or worrying that you won’t be able to win him over will not be beneficial to you in the long run.
If you show her that you’re sad, you’re proving that you cared about her. If she sees you cry, she’ll know that leaving you had an effect on you. She wants to know that she was cared for even if she’s not interested in being with you right now. This proves that you weren’t just a waste of her time and that you were just as invested in the relationship as she was.
WOW I don’t “KNOW” you…But I really like you! ?You are HILARIOUS and REAL and it’s clear that you’ve truly been “there” before by the things that you say. It’s like your taking these feelings and thoughts straight from MY mind and typing them out. I LOVE what you stand for (and what you don’t stand for). Well my question is in the last paragraph from what’s above, when you say something like : after getting your ex back he will eventually SHOW you (if we took your advice about showing we’re not putting up with the bs) that the break-up was a good thing.- Are you saying you feel they’ll still be the same way they were BEFORE the breakup (a f*cktard?) or they will possibly have changed for the better due to us setting those “what’s not acceptable” boundaries? And do you always feel that they would ONLY want you back due to a wanting to be in control thing not ever because they actually love you? Just wondering
Healing your marriage is about deciding what changes your relationship needs in order to be stronger, healthier and happier, and then making those changes happen. It is about taking charge and not letting the winds of fate control your lives. “Yes,” you say. “Where do I begin? What do I work on? How am I going to save my marriage?” Well, your answers begin here.
Occasional conflict is a part of life, according to New York-based psychologist Susan Silverman. But if you and your partner feel like you're starring in your own nightmare version of the movie Groundhog Day -- i.e. the same lousy situations keep repeating day after day -- it's time to break free of this toxic routine. When you make the effort, you can lessen the anger and take a calm look at underlying issues.
Keep in mind, once you get a chance to get back together with your ex boyfriend, you have already learned how to get your ex back and let go all bitter feelings you suffered in the past. Never lose hope to get the one you love most, even if your ex is in a relationship with someone else, just hand on! But, this doesn’t mean you have to disappear from your ex’s life completely.

Me and my girlfriend been together for 14 months. We almost had an baby. But the baby died. After 3 weeks she started to act different. I called her horrible names like 6 different occasions. Now I text her she doesn’t even text me back. I call her shell call me a couple hours later. I love her so much. I text her in the morning that I apologize. Saying nice sweet stuff. Then when I wanna break up with her. She gets so mad at me. She don’t even wanna see me like that. It hurts me so bad. What should I do.
My story illustrates the power of working on yourself, of being your best self, of being in a happy, settled place before you enter into a relationship. The reason my husband doesn’t know what shifted is that it wasn’t a tangible thing. It was my vibe and my energy. I changed a lot from the beginning of the summer to the end, I did a lot of important inner work and I genuinely loved myself and was happy with my life. That’s the kind of energy that draws people in. That’s what makes people see you in a different light.

Stop being jealous. Being jealous will get you nowhere. Jealousy is associated with fear and anxiety[3], two unattractive traits to have. Plus, what you're non-verbally telling her is that you want to control her. No one wants to be controlled. So learn to fight your jealousy if you can, and focus on being non-threatening. You'll get more bees with honey than you will with vinegar.

While she already has you on her mind, you can write her a brief note. In order to be the most effective, it should be written by hand and not typed out. Simply say that she was right after all – that you think that ending the relationship was the best thing to do. Keep it to fewer than three sentences long, and then mail it. As tempting as it may be to just leave it somewhere for her to find or drop it off at her apartment, don’t. Then let it go.

My ex-boyfriend and I have been together for a year and two months. Recently he told me that he is conflicted over him wanting to be with men and wanting to be with me. We spent all our time together and he always took care of me and wrote me sweet cards during our relationship. He told me he was struggling with reaching out to other men and felt like doing so during our relationship would be hurting me. He told me that he cares for and loves me but that he needed time to find out what he wanted and that he would come back to me if he isn’t gay and things aren’t good like what we have. He also said there is nothing I did but that he feels different. He’s been in several relationships with women but I’m his first for everything. I’m 22 and he is 21 and I have had more relationships than him. He feels like he hasn’t explored everything and doesn’t know himself well enough.
I know I posted something similar to this but I would like more advice from everyone. Would appreciate it. So you see,my ex boyfriend broke up with me two weeks ago after being with him for 16 months. Im 23 and he’s 26. He said he has thought it through and wants to be friends. I am so heartbroken that it has been so difficult for me to do school work and everything else. He’s someone I truly love and I thought we had something special. He was someone who I thought I was going to marry someday. He told me he loved me and would never leave me, well I guess I got fooled on that one. We did talk about our future about getting married and what not and so I need help in showing him what he’s missing and see how lucky of a wonderful woman he had in his life. So I need help in getting him back permanently. To also add that he told me that he can’t imagine his life without me and it would be weird if I wasn’t in his life anymore so I don’t know if that means something or not.
Hi. I dated this guy last year , but unfortunately it didn’t work out between us cause I was unreachable and shy. We pretty much texted the whole time and met a few times. I fell for him and he said he had feelings for me too . But all of a sudden he wanted to be just friends. We had 5 months long an emotional relationship/friendship and 5 months a non-emotional one. I kinda acted out there. He started giving me less atttetion day after day and we started fighting every now and then and I got super jealous when he talked about this other girl he liked. Eventually he called the friendship off. I asked him to block my number and social accounts so we wouldn’t have contact . It’s been 4 months now and I miss him everyday. I’m madly in love with him . Haven’t heard of him for 4 months and I want him back. I can’t get over him being gone from my life. Please help. What should I do ? Why am I feeling this way.
I ended a realstionship with my ex of 2 years we met up and I said I wanted him back we had sex and he left saying he was confussed and then sent me a text saying he wanted to be on his own. After weeks of texting and he kept saying no. A week later I said I was feeling better and wanted our realtionship to end on a smile and could we meet for lunch he said yes one Wednesday. I said I would clear my diary for next week, he hasn’t replied to 100 % confirm so 50:50 we will meet. I haven’t sent a text to ask. I do still love him and hate feeling rejected, not sure how to handle the situation
It is recommended that you stop contact for at least one month. If you think you need more time, you can extend it. It should be at least a few weeks. If you and your ex have to see each other (due to work or kids) then make sure you keep the conversation professional or just related to the kids. Do not talk about your feelings or your relationship with them.

I’m devasted, we broke up more than a month now. We have been together for 5months. I got out of a previous relationship of 7years that had more bad than good times so I ended it. Met my now ex unexpectedly after a month. We connected immediately, like we understand each other. It was so weird, I will get myself ready to say something and he would think the very same thing. I experienced real love with this man for the first time in my life and we have been through a lot during our time of dating. Then the drama started. He accused me of cheating on him, I not that type of girl, why would I cheat on him his the greatest thing that I’ve had. So he left me, I love him and I know he loves me too although I heard his very happy. How do I prove my innocence or do I just leave it go on as difficult as it is and let things sort themselves out. I love him and do not want to lose him, I know for a fact I’m the 1st woman he loved in his life. I have not made contact with him. I feel hurt that he will accuse me on of such a thing. How do I handle the situation.
However she has a boyfriend that they have been together for about a year and a half. He treats her like shit, talks to her like shit and to top it off he is a fat sweaty nerd! OK here is the kicker- She is a former Texans cheerleader. She is beautiful, and Im not a bad looking guy! I have recently kicked my “bad Habbit” but she is still with this geek and I for the life of me cant figure out why she wont leave this jerk. She is my best friend.

Avoiding contact is not just a passive-aggressive way to make your ex miss you. It gives you time to do the things you need to do to prepare yourself for a new relationship (whether it's with your ex or someone new!). Take time during this month to get to know yourself as an individual and to work on areas that you may have let slip during your relationship with your ex. If you contributed to the breakup, this is the time to pinpoint your relationship weaknesses and do the hard work to improve as a human being.

I believe it was James Carville, Bill Clinton's political adviser, who said, "If you say three things, you've said nothing at all." Well, I've said more than three things here, but then, I'm not giving a political speech. And you are not going to find the answer to saving your marriage in a single idea. What you have in front of you, though, are the first steps in getting to a happy marriage.
Oddly enough, many of my clients were successful in re-establishing contact with their ex boyfriends by simply not even trying.  They didn’t do anything except move forward with their lives, focusing on bettering themselves personally and professionally.  In a way, it is a form of what I call Passive No Contact or Passive Radio Silence.  It works for some people.  They figure that if their boyfriend dropped them, then so be it and instead of becoming dependent and addicted to their ex boyfriend, they choose to embrace other things in their life, doing those things they want to do and accomplish. Then as they focus on those things and have success, often times their ex boyfriends show up realizing they made a huge mistake letting their girlfriend go.

I met my husband at a party when I was 17. I saw him and I was hit with a ton of bricks. We spent most of the night talking (and kissing), and I was on a cloud. We dated for a few months and while the relationship was short, it was extremely significant to me. He was just different from the rest and I was devastated when it ended, like completely crushed.
Focus on patterns. Rather than blaming each other, consider how patterns from each of you has led to problems. For instance, maybe you consistently forget to call home when you're going to be late, and your partner then gets upset when you don't show up. Consequently, you punish him or her the next time by not calling home, which is a cyclical pattern. When you bring it up, focus on how to solve the problem, such as "I will try to be better about calling home, if maybe you can forgive me the few times that I forget. Or maybe you can send me a text near the end of the day, so I will be more aware of what time it is."[10]
In an effort to resuscitate an already dysfunctional relationship, women will frequently make the fatal error of bluffing. Your girlfriend will repeatedly threaten to break up with you in order to scare you into changing (for the record I wholeheartedly disagree with this method, but that discussion is for another article), hoping you will prove your love by doing anything to make her happy. It never works, and you rarely take her threats seriously. So you break up.

By the way, this article is on point!!! Men hate sniffy, sneezy, blubbering women…so quit it!!!!! Just act like you’re some hot chick from baywatch…exercise, take a bubble bath…and mention it to him, wear Paris Hilton perfume, have flippy, blowy hair, perk up the boobies, get your makeup on point, sport an awesome medi/pedi, eyebrow wax, wear Victorias secret body lotion, and dress to kill. Then, act like a man…and get over what ever the problem was so you can have fun…just quit whining!!! Problems with this???? Ask yourself what would the baywatch chick do in this situation. Answer: Smile ’cause she has the man. Now let me add that I hate when women say I tried not to be clingy but I couldn’t help it…go get a hobby, or at least read a book or what about the newspaper…or…the internet….or maybe google how NOT to be overbearing!!! In other words….Get yo’ life! If you simply must blubber and complain, save it for nighttime when you’re alone with your sock monkey!!! You heard of save the drama for your mama, right?
